About

You’ve reached the site of Larry Spohn (Spoonman). I’m not 1337 enough to have numbers in my handle yet.  Maybe when I responsibly disclose my first vulnerability finding, I can replace the o’s with zeros.  We’ll see.  I’ve worked in Information Technology since 1999 and have recently moved into the field of Information Security in 2010.  I’m starting this site as a repository for new things that I learn on my way of becoming a competent Security Engineer.

My main experience is in Microsoft SMS/ConfigMgr, Active Directory, and general Windows administration. I’ve attained a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification in 2011 and I recently attained a Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification in 2013.

I’m having fun learning these new skills.  Hopefully, if any other new security professionals stumble upon this site, they may learn something too.

Enjoy!
